How to Customize Your Sven Co-op Game with Sven Coop Player Model Pack

This site is a combination of various packs and single releases. There are often conflicts where modelshave the same names. I try to add version suffixes properly but might not always get that right. If I can't compare modified dates, then I check the animations to see which version should be the latest.

People often copy-paste models and then rename them. These renamed models then get distributed in model packs.Because of this, I don't know if any of the model names here are correct. Let me knowif a model name is wrong and I'll fix it (preferably with some proof like a GameBanana link).

Version suffixes (e.g. "_v2") are added and necessary because servers can't overwrite existing models in your modelfolder. If a server wants to automatically distribute an updated model, then that model has to have anew name or else many players won't see it.

hello, how are you? I tried your models today and they are xvres (cool!!!) really thanks for sharing them, there is a version of LIL-PIF where the mp5 looks like it places the grenade of the second shot it would be great if you added it and also the uzi you can't hear the svencoop at the time of reloading, you should review the restored half life models it has more detail as the images are cleaner and I enhance them while keeping the classic style I like the work you did I hope for future versions salu2 from Peru

Sven Co-op is a cooperative game for Valve Software's Half-Life. In this mod, players must work together against computer controlled enemies and solve puzzles as a team. It is currently at version 5.0.

Sven Co-op has a very active Mapping and Modeling community, as evidenced by the recently released map pack, The Big One 490 map ppack.Sven Co-op also has a busy modeling and model conversion scene, and a group of these once went out to form the Half-Life Improvement Team, dedicated to improving models for all Half-Life games.

The community has slowly dwindled over the years, but Sven Co-op still remains one of the mods with most custom content. This success might be because of several reasons:Due to Sven Co-op's single-player nature, it is easier for mappers to create their own worlds and scenarios, and the ability for mappers to change models and sounds give them even more freedom. A backside of the "single-player" style, is that Sven Co-op maps generally take more time to create than maps for multiplayer games, but SC mapping has still managed to thrive.

A common criticism of single-player mapping for games, is that you never know how many people have played your map. When you are mapping for a coop game, you can create your own scenarios and tell a story to the players, and still be able to see how many are playing your game online.

Sven also supports official expansions Blue Shift and Opposing Force (albeit with fewer alterations made, so you end up with some maps being devoid of enemies and just a few seconds long). Installing them is a bit of a hassle. You'll need to own and download both expansions, and run them at least once. Then look in your Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop directory. If you've an older OS, you can just run Install_bshift_Support.bat and Install_OpFor_Support.bat. If you have Windows 10, you'll need to first do the following:

I jump server once again, and end up neck deep in Keen Halloween, part 6 of 7 by "Keen" and pals. Some of the dozen Gordon clones (I lack the correct model pack for this server, so most are identical) had pumpkins for heads. We were told to find Gordon Freeman's missing brain, and also collect some Picard Coins along the way, while the rest of the Star Trek: TNG cast stared down at us from giant photos. We were besieged by ghosts and skellingtons, but they were less haunting than the bellowing anime meme voice clips that players spam continuously.

Lastly, if you're wondering why all the pixels are sharp and angular in my screenshots, it's because I changed texture filtering mode, as I never liked smudgy bilinear filtering. If you want your Half-Life (or Sven) to look this way, put the line "gl_texturemode GL_NEAREST_MIPMAP_LINEAR" in your Autoexec.cfg file, overwriting any other gl_texturemode command. If you don't find the file in your Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop directory you'll have to create one yourself.

You can grab Sven Co-op free here on Steam, no Half-Life needed. All of these maps (and thousands more) can be found over on the Sven Co-op Map Database. Downloaded maps -- both those you pick and those automatically grabbed from servers -- go in your Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\svencoop_downloads directory.

Player models can also be requested by the server, just set your "model" console variable to the desired model and wait for a map change. If the server has the requested player model all current players will download it. 2ff7e9595c
